“Hotel staff was amazing, friendly and overall convenient when needed. It was easy to check in and out and the best part was being in front of the beach. Unfortunately a storm passed but didn’t ruin my experience at all and would come here again in the future. It was a safe space during an unexpected time. ;)”

“Property right on beach as described. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were clean. The breakfast buffet was the best we have ever had with fresh baked cinnamon rolls. Would definitely stay again. ”

“The property was close to the beach. Our King Suite had everything we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and accommodating, especially the manager who stayed calm and reassuring when i thought i had jewelery missing. For the price, closeness to the beach, accommodating staff, and free breakfast, it's one of the best options on the Outer Banks.”

“I have used Hotel Ballast exclusively when traveling to Wilmington, NC. I have always had the use of a walk in shower. However, this trip was different. I was placed in room 637 which had a bathtub with the use of a shower. I was not given the option of a room with a walk in shower. Based on ones age and to prevent accidents, rooms should be age appropriate based on guest needs. The room also had an extra door. I could see other guest or employees walking by that door. ”
